The Dane County District Attorney is looking for more evidence to connect their number one suspect to the murder of Angela Drake.
Police used a search warrant to seize carpet samples from Michael Desalvo's vehicle.
Angela Drake, of Oregon, went missing last December. She was last seen leaving the Dry Bean in Fitchburg with Desalvo. Her nearly naked body was found in a ditch in rural Fitchburg weeks later. Police want Desalvo charged with first degree intentional homicide.
The latest search warrant asked permission to search Desalvo's GMC Jimmy and compare the carpet to red fibers found on Drake's body.
The District Attorney has not said when or if charges are coming.
Desalvo remains in jail on unrelated drug charges.
