A record breaking sale makes Wisconsin home to the million dollar baby.

But this is no prize boxer. In fact, Apple is no human at all and the Dairy State is now home sweet home to one of the world's most expensive barn animals.

It's your average barn, on your average farm. Not exactly the type of security you'd expect for a 7-figure investment.

Owner Mike Deaver says, "We individual care them but it's not exactly a special pen."

You could say it's 250-grand a leg. From head to tail, with mugs and calendars this cow is number one, as in 1-million dollars.

Deaver says, "It was alll a gamble when we started. We had high hopes"

But even in their wildest dreams these proud parents had no idea their baby would make them millionaires.

Owner and Caretaker Sheryl Deaver sasy, "She is special. I can't say how much I love her and anyone around here I think knows how much I love Apple"

Now these farmers feeling the love from a group of investors who earlier this week shelled out a million bucks at auction, just to buy a stake in this prize winner.

There are still a lot of cows here on the farm and a lot of them that can pull in some pretty good money, but the best part, is that the million dollar baby still calls this pen home.

New Investor Joe Hoffman says, "We will have to make our child support payments and have visitation rights."

A few extra fans, a pen to herself and daily rub downs with sun tan lotion and baby powder make for one pampered pet.

But this million dollar cow is still smelling the same cooking as the rest of the herd.

Mike Deaver says, "We don't deal with celebrities. We don't know celebrities but I have to believe they like to go out and have a beer with their friends once and a while so Apple likes to hang out with her friends too."

It is one happy family that now has a whole lot more moo-la to work with.

All right so why a million bucks? Her owners say Apple is the only female show cow to earn All-American honors in both red and black color divisions and she's already paying off. So far 6 of her offspring have sold for a combined 600-thousand dollars.

Crazy, and 100 thousand per calf. That's a great windfall for a farmer.

I wonder if he'll get a better pen now.
