Continuing coverage now of a story we first told you about Tuesday night.
Just minutes before a corvette slammed into a tree, killing the two people inside, the driver was pulled over for speeding.
About 9:45 Monday night, 57–year old David Fuerstenberg of Belleville was ticketed for driving nearly 90–miles per hour in a 55–zone in Green county.
At 10 o'clock, his car hit a tree and rolled about two miles southeast of Belleville, killing Fuerstenberg and 43–year old Ronald Palmer of Belleville.
The Green County Sheriff's Department says excessive speed was a factor in that deadly crash.
