While the Opening Ceremony on Friday will signify the beginning of the 2008 Olympic Games, many athletes are already hard at work in pursuit of the gold. Pre-Games competition kicked off early Wednesday morning with six women's soccer matches. 24 hours later, 16 men's soccer teams also competed in group opener matches.
