A Lafayette County man drowned, Saturday night, while trying to untie his boat.

According to the Grant County Sheriff's Department, 45-year-old Michael Kruser, of Darlington, was attempting to untie his pontoon boat from the dock when he fell into the water and did not resurface.

Glen Haven Fire Department was called to the scene and were able to recover Kruser. He was transferred to Grant Regional Health Center where he was pronounced dead.

I can't believe you would say that about someone. "water wings" This was a wonderful man that died so tragically and suddenly. I will miss my uncle very much!!! I cannot believe how heartless people can be.

He probably hit his head and got knocked out cold. I had an uncle drown that way, except he was in a car that went into the water.

If you would have read this better it says "A Lafayette County man" Read before you make comments.

If he was from Darlington, he is from Lafayette County. Glen Haven is in Grant County, but Darlington is not.
