A Janesville man is dead after a crash in Rock County.

It happened Saturday at around 11:00 pm.

Authorities say 41-year-old John Gage was traveling southbound on I-39 at mile marker 186.

The vehicle, a Chevy Trailblazer, went off the road and rolled numerous times.

Gage was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities say he was not wearing a seat belt. Speed is considered a factor in the crash.

First that woman outside Mt. Horeb kills herself & two kids doing 80 talking on her phone as she rolled her car (& landed on another one to boot!), now they say speed is a factor in this crash where someone rolled a vehicle multiple times and was ejected- then there is that mysterious crash where that Mineral Point guy killed his buddy after drinking, driving, and rolling his car multiple times. don't forget the deforest cycle driver that outran cops twice in one night before commiting suicide like the chicken he was- We have the technology to stop this stuff, it is called engine governors (semi trucks use them on their engines, so do rental trucks like Ryder and U-haul)- and there is also the idea behind electronic cut outs where a radio pulse is sent from the roadside and if the veh. is speeding, the car receives a signal and the car's engine shuts off. or computer traffic monitoring like the autobahn in Germany! stopping homicidal/ suicidal drivers is nothing new!
