A crash near Cross Plains sent one person to UW Hospital with serious injuries.

It happened on Highway 14, just west of the village.

The Dane County Sheriff's Office says a Chevy Cavalier traveling eastbound on Highway 14 crossed the centerline into the westbound lane.

An oncoming Saturn Ion tried to avoid a crash and swerved into the eastbound lane.

But the driver of the Cavalier corrected and the two cars collided.

The Sheriff's Office says the driver of the Saturn received serious injuries in the crash.

The driver and passenger in the Cavalier have minor injuries.
