UPDATE: 2ND Dane County AWOL inmate found

UPDATE: According to officials, inmate Jonathan Thompson is back in custody after returning to the Dane County Jail at approximately 5:00 p.m.

According to police, inmate Jermaine E. Peeples is back in the Dane County Jail after being taken into custody by the Madison Police Department at approximately 10:30 p.m.

According to officials, inmate Jonathan Thompson is back in custody after returning to the Dane County Jail at approximately 5:00 p.m.

Deputies are searching for 27-year-old Jonathan Thompson, who has been declared AWOL from the Dane Co. Jail.

Thompson left the Ferris Center at approximately 10:00 am for a medical appointment. He was due back at the Ferris Center by 1:30 pm. Thompson never arrived for his appointment, and has not returned to the Ferris Center.

Thompson is serving a sentence with Huber for Contempt of Court, and was scheduled to be released in just three more days.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call 911.

This is the second AWOL inmate reported today by Dane Co. authorities. They are also looking for Jermaine Peeples. For information on that case click HERE.
