EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (AP) -- Eau Claire police are investigating a report that a 3-year-old boy tested positive for methamphetamine.
A police spokesman tells the Leader-Telegram the boy was brought to Sacred Heart Hospital in an ambulance after he began acting like he was having a panic attack.
The boy spent the night in the hospital, but was released Tuesday morning. He was placed in protective custody.
The police department will try to determine where the boy came in contact with meth, an addictive stimulant drug.
No one has been arrested.
