Release from the Sun Prairie Police Department:

The Sun Prairie Police Department is investigating a strong arm robbery of a customer, that occurred at Kelly Williamson Mobile Mart, 276 Davison Drive on October 11, 2008.

At approximately 4:00am on Saturday, the Sun Prairie Police Department received a report that a customer was approached by a Hispanic or black male subject, asking for directions and money to pay for his gas.

The victim believes that this individual may have seen that she had cash in her wallet as he was in the same area when she paid for several items while in the store. After leaving the store to return to her vehicle, she was approached by the same subject that was in the store, he first asked her for directions and then asked her if she could give him some money to purchase gas.

As she attempted to hand him $5.00 he lunged into her vehicle, grabbed her wallet from her hands and ran off.

The suspect was described is a Hispanic or black male with very short hair, 18-22 years old, 5’06-5’08 inches tall, no facial hair, tattoos on both forearms, wearing white shoes, blue jean pants, a green Milwaukee Bucks jersey with red and white lettering and the #1 on it, worn over a baggy white t-shirt.
