It's a hot trend that's getting hotter.

"Resale is like the new buzz word," said Pink Poodle owner Beth Testa.

Designer clothes, jewels, and furniture all at discount prices.

"People are just blown away by the size. What we offer," Testa added.

The Pink Poodle is a consigning business that's being flooded with people trying to make some quick money. Consigning works when people bring in their items and if it sells within 60 days, the store and consignor split the profit.

This movement is growing so much that the Pink Poodle had to cut their consigning time in half. Now they only collect twice a month.

"I found out about consigning through my mom." This is Sarah Boyce's first time consigning.

"I brought in some big clothing, a handbag and some shoes from being a bridesmaid in a wedding," Stated Boyce.

She hopes to make about $100.

Added Boyce, "Everyone is trying to be cognizant of their budgets at this time and I am saving up for a wedding coming up in May. So trying to get money here and there."

But for some this is just another trip to the Pink Poodle. Liz Norton is in her seventh years.

"I down sized this summer. I brought pictures, decoration. A couple chairs," listed Norton.

And Monday is one of those days where it all pays off.

"I am picking up a check today for over $100. I'll use that for my Christmas shopping."

"Everybody if they look in their home can collect some things together and make some cash out of it," concluded Testa.

Testa says that every week they sign $5,000 to $10,000 worth of consignor checks, which is more than double what it was a year ago.

They have so much to sell they are taking a break and not consigning again until mid January.
