What happened to comfortable, fashionable jeans?

The answer in this weeks Hot Trends can be found in Cambridge, Wisconsin.

In this store in Cambridge called "A Box of Fluffys" there may be the best purchase a woman can find.

"A Box of Fluffys has a lot of fun, frivolous things and we thought it would be a good idea to have something that would be a little more of a wardrobe staple. "

That's why they are selling jeans.

They got the idea after seeing Oprah feature a jean designer on her show. The company is called "Not Your Daughter's Jeans".

"She like the way they fit, she liked the way they made her look and she liked how comfortable they were."

So Oprah got together with the company and designed a pair herself. This pair. And she says they are made for every woman.

"They are looking for a pair of jeans that make them look slim and tall."

They also have formal jeans made with cashmere with rhinestones down the side, a black trouser you can wear for work and your standard 5 pocket jeans, among others. They all may be a bit different... but they share two things in common.

"They're all tummy tuck jeans and they're supposed to lift your toosh, too which is always a good thing."

The jeans are between $105 and $140.

The store in Cambridge is on Main Street.

Why is this all aimed at Oprah? She doesn't own this jean company. She isn't making any money from these jeans. She just said she liked them. If you can find great jeans for $20 buy them. If you are like most people and are still searching for just the right pair why not try these! For heavens sakes lighten up. That's why there are all kinds of options for people. Who wants only one choice.

I own a pair of these jeans and they are worth the investment in fit and comfort. Better to have one pair of $100 jeans that you can wear twice a week than several pair of cheap jeans that wear quickly and sacrifice fit. It's a staple investment and I'm grateful to have local access to authentic premium denim. This business also has inexpensive gifts, too. With the economy right now, I prefer to put my dollars into locally-owned businesses instead of large department stores or mega-marts. Thanks, Christine, for featuring a local favorite!

I wear my jeans a couple of times a week and they last for several years. Like bras, if I find a good pair of jeans, it is worth the investment! However, I have also bought jeans at JC Penny for $12. All I know is that it is so hard to find a good pair that fit me right. I just wanted to showcase all options out there/local businesses. A Box of Fluffy's also offers layaway too on these jeans.

Once again, Oprah is completely out of touch with what the "average" person can afford for clothing and other necessities. She can claim all she wants that she's just like everyone else, but she's not. And this just proves it.

I don't usually pay that much for jeans, especially now with the economy. But, if there is anything I COULD justify it would be jeans. I wear them almost every day and finding ones that make me look great would be worth it in the long run. I just called this place and they offer layaway. I have to put down half and can pay the other half as I can. I'm going to go try some on and decide then. I find money for other little things, I can find money for great jeans.

Buy one pair of jeans for $105- $140 with the way the ecconomy is now, just DUMB!!!!

I have a hard enough time justifying paying $50 for a pair of jeans let alone $105-$140 for these Box of Fluffy jeans. Even though they sound great, with the way the economy is now, I think they'll have a hard time selling these.

I was really excited when I saw this segment on the morning news this morning, until I saw the price. Obviously, if you can afford to spend over $100 on ONE pair of jeans, you are not experiencing the same "financial crunch" we are. Guess I'll be stuck with the non-flattering Wal-Mart and Target jeans that are under $20 a pair.
