Firefighters Battle Fire in Below Zero Temperatures
Firefighters in Fox Lake battle blaze in frigid temperatures. Fire blamed on faulty fireplace.

From the Fox Lake Fire Chief:

At 11:14 pm Tuesday Jan. 13 the Fox Lake FD was called to a house fire at W10317 Delbern Ln. on the north side of Fox Lake. Upon arrival to the scene flames were clearly visible as the fire had already broken through the roof.

The home was extensively damaged. The home is owned by Mike Kamp, the owner and his daughter were home at the time of the fire and safely exited the home.

The fire is believed to have been caused by a faulty fireplace.

Firefighters battled below zero temperatures while fighting the fire.

Fox Lake was assisted by the Randolph FD, The Waupun FD, and the Dodge County Sheriffs department. Firefighters were on the scene for about 3 hours. There were no injuries during the incident.
