MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Dane County sheriff's deputies have given an Evansville man his 12th citation for a revoked license in the past three years.

A sheriff's deputy stopped the 26-year-old man for speeding on Highway 12 shortly before noon Thursday.

The deputy discovered the driver had a revoked license and also found open bottles of beer in the vehicle.

The driver was also cited for having open intoxicants in a vehicle and failing to use a seatbelt.

Madison, WI. February 5, 2009 – At approximately 11:45 am, a Dane County Sheriff’s Deputy stopped Andrew B. Decoteau for speeding on Highway 12 near University Avenue. Once stopped, the deputy found Decoteau had a revoked driver’s license. The deputy also found open bottles of beer in Decoteau’s vehicle, one empty and one nearly full.

According to WI Department of Transportation records, Decoteau, age 26 of Evansville, has eleven prior convictions for Operating After Revocation (OAR) in the past three years.

Decoteau was cited for OAR – 12th Offense, Possessing Open Intoxicants in a Motor Vehicle, and failure to use a seatbelt.
