CrimeTracker: Thieves Steal Doors, Windows from Business
Platteville police are investigating the robbery of $3,200 in doors and windows. Two suspects are arrested.

Press Release from Platteville Police:

On March 29, 2009, the Platteville Police Dept received a call of a
suspicious truck entering the PRO BUILD lot located at 100 East Side Rd
in the City of Platteville.

An officer responded and began to check the buildings.

Two suspects, Dennis B Gifford and Christopher J Johnson, both of Montfort were apprehended loading doors and windows valued at $3,200 from the business into the truck.

Grant County's K-9 assisted with clearing the rest of the lumber yard.

Also assisting was the University of Wisconsin-Platteville Police.

Inside the suspect truck was also a lock that is believed to be from a gate from a previous burglary from the same business.

The subjects were transported to the Grant County Jail on charges of burglary, possession of burglary tools and criminal damage to property.
