Fire Claims Home in Town of Dane
Fire rips through home in Dane County. INSIDE: Release from the Sheriff's Office.

News Release from the Dane County Sheriff's Office:

At approximately 9:13 p.m. the Dane Fire Department and Dane County Deputies responded to a report of a single family residential house fire at 7254 Black Hill Rd. in the Town of Dane. When they arrived, flames were visible through the roof and the home was soon fully engulfed. Dane Fire Department was assisted by Prairie Du Sac, Sauk City, Lodi, Waunakee, and Deforest Fire departments.

No one was at home when the fire started. The owners discovered the fire when they returned home and immediately called 911. The cause of the fire remains under investigation, and a monetary estimate of damage is unavailable at this time. The home appears to be a total loss.
