Police are going door-to-door as they investigate a shooting Friday night on Allied Drive.

Numerous calls came in to the 911 Center Friday night around 9 o'clock. Witnesses saw two men walking down the 2300 block of Allied Drive, shooting at apartment buildings with handguns.

No one was injured, but buildings were hit causing property damage. The suspects fled the area prior to police arrival. Numerous shell casings were located at the scene. Police say 15 to 30 shots were fired in that area.

They also believe the shooting is related to similar shootings on Tree lane, Coho Street, and in Penn park.

MPD wants to assure the community that we are actively working the "shots fired" event from Friday night. Patrol officers, West community Policing Team and Detectives are investigating. Officers went door to door on Allied Dr to seek information about the case and to share the information we have with the community.

The investigation suggests that this case is related to other shootings and shots fired in other neighborhoods.

MPD is asking the community for help in stopping these suspects. Any person with information about the suspects, their location or the location of their weapons are asked to call MPD and share the information. They can call MPD or contact an officer working the beat.

MPD will continue to investigate these shootings and pursue the suspects.

Police are looking for two suspects after a shooting in Madison.

The shooting happened just before 9 Friday night on the 2300 block of Allied Drive.

Police say a group of males were walking around carrying handguns.

At least fifteen shots were fired.

There were reports of some buildings being hit, but at this time, there have been no reports of injuries.
