From Janesville Police Department:
On 11/26/2012 at 9:34 p.m. Officer Joseph Sanovich stopped a red Ford truck for non-registration and he also observed it weaving in its lane of traffic. He identified the driver as William Dixon, who had a revoked driving status. Dixon smelled heavy of the odor of intoxicants and admitted to drinking. He was given the opportunity to do field sobriety tests, but he could not do any of the walking or balance tests. Dixon showed signs of impairment and was arrested for OWI.
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation’s driving records showed Dixon had three prior OWI convictions. In addition, he had warrants from the Janesville Police Department, Juneau County, and Columbia County for court dates missed for other pending OWI arrests. Since a blood sample was taken for testing, Dixon’s level of intoxication is unknown at this time. He will be taken to the Rock County Jail after his release from a detoxification facility.
