If you didn't know Eric you wouldn't have known that he was a genuine, sweet, honest, kind, funny and sensitive man. He was always the first to stand up for someone he loved and never hesitated to help them carry a burden. We do not know if alcohol or circumstance caused Eric's accident but I do know that if he were here today he would apologize for our grief regardless of what the cause. While I understand that many people have conflicted feelings and opinions about what's happened, as a member of his family I ask that everyone take into consideration the facts of his life and the quality of his spirit before they pass judgment based on the reported circumstances of his death. Thank you to everyone else for you kind words and condolences.

Cops are not responsible for drunk drivers, drunk drivers are responsible for their own bad decisions. The first bad decision is drinking and driving. Wake up WI!

Go Figure are you really blaming the cops for Eric's choices. Can you watch a car driving by and determine if the driver has been drinking? Eric decided to drink. Eric decided to drive. Eric decided not to wear a seatbelt. Eric decided to put his life on the line. Cops can't be responsible for everyone's actions. This is an issue of personal responsibility.
