Suspected Intoxicated Driver Crashes Vehicle During Pursuit
Suspected intoxicated driver refuses to stop for police; crashes vehicle during pursuit.

From the Cross Plains Police Department:
On 9/25/09 at approximately 2:03 a.m. Cross Plains Police received a complaint of an intoxicated person in the village of Cross Plains.
Cross Plains Police also received a description of the vehicle the person was driving.
Cross Plains Police observed that vehicle westbound on Main Street in Cross Plains, and attempted to stop the vehicle for traffic violations.
Vehicle refused to stop for the officer and increased his speed.
While still traveling westbound and east of Black Earth, the vehicle lost control and overturned into the north ditch of Highway 14.
Operator of the vehicle received minor injuries and was arrested for Operating a Motor Vehicle while Under the Influence, Knowingly Fleeing an Officer and was also cited for numerous other traffic violations.

Glad they got him! my bf drives hwy 14 late at night for work im glad he wasnt one the rd or even someone else for that matter. luckly no other innocent people were hurt or killed.

I heard that it was a Kwik Trip employee who called the cops on him. Is that the traffic violation that allowed the officer to pursue at high rates of speed?

I know that no one wants to be caught drinking and driving but just think of all the other charges this guy faces by his decision to try to get away. Good thing there wasn't another vehicle involved in the crash.
