Man Arrested for Attempted Homicide
Marquette County Deputies make arrest; man faces tentative charge of attempted homicide by the intoxicated use of a firearm.

Press Release from the Marquette County Sheriff's Department:
On September 24, 2009, officers from the Marquette County Sheriff’s Department arrested Rudolph J. Kopchinski, 06/12/1943, of N8576 Dearborn Road Westfield WI 53964.
Mr. Kopchinski was arrested on a tentative charge of attempted homicide by the intoxicated use of a firearm.
Mr. Kopchinski was arrested without incident at his home in the late night hours of September 24, 2009.
This incident occurred at the above address and in general was a result of an altercation between family members and friends of the Kopchinski family.
The victim is a 30-year old male who was transported to Divine Savior Hospital in Portage Wisconsin with life threatening injuries.
Mr. Kopchinski was released on a cash bond of $500.00 awaiting his next court appearance.

The bond amount of $500 was just 10% of the bail posted at $5000.Not sure why that doesn't come through the report in full?

You need to know all the facts before making an accusation, the man fired a shot in self defense as he watched his daughter being beat up by the 30yrold.
