Friday night's scheduled football game between Baraboo High School and DeForest was cancelled.

According to the Athletic Director at DeForest, Baraboo had to forfeit their game because of the high number of players sick with flu-like symptoms. As of Thursday, only nine Varsity players were attending classes.

The following was posted on the Baraboo School District website:

Dear Parents,
As you are probably aware an increased number of students have been absent from the School District of Baraboo with flu-like symptoms. As a result the School District has been in contact with the Sauk County Public Health Department and State of Wisconsin Department of Public Health. At this point in time it has been determined that the School District of Baraboo will remain open. The District will continue to be in contact with the county and state health officials. If your child has a fever and is ill with flu-like symptoms, please keep them at home.
