Release from Sun Prairie PD:
Sun Prairie will receive a grant from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation Bureau of Transportation Safety to crackdown on drunken driving. The funds may be used to pay for officers’ overtime and to purchase new equipment for improved enforcement.
Driving while impaired is not a victimless crime. In 2008, alcohol-related crashes killed 234 people in Wisconsin and injured 4,319.
“Drunken drivers are deadly threats not just to themselves but to everyone else on our roads,” said Lieutenant Linda Anderson “That's why we don’t give warnings or accept excuses when we stop drunken drivers. If you’re over the limit, you’ll be arrested. The decision to drive while impaired will likely be one you’ll regret the rest of your life.”

Seems the Lieutenant isn't familiar with Wisconsin's drunk driving realities - you will be arrested, but the courts will not make you actually suffer.
