Tonight a local family pleads for help one week after their brother went missing.

The strange discovery of his car is only adding more questions.

For Jack Coloso it's been tough to think about anything else.

The emails and letters of support are pouring in. He's hoping one of them may lead to an answer about where his missing brother is or why his vehicle was found abandoned in the middle of a Jefferson County corn field.

Jack says, "What we're looking for is closure at this point. One way or the other we just need closure. "

46 year old Joseph Coloso has been missing since Monday when family members say he checked himself out of a hospital against medical advice.

He was there because of a severe head injury and they worry he may be confused.

Jack says, "That's what I want to think, yes. Yes, that's what I want to think. I mean it's my brother I am very worried."

The last anyone heard from Joseph he was supposed to drive from his home in Sullivan to meet family members in Oconomowoc. Four days later his vehicle was found 30 miles in the opposite direction.

A hunter stumbled upon it while walking through a field.

The vehicle was a full quarter mile off the road in the middle of a corn field and there was no sign of Coloso.

Sergeant Larry Lee with the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office says, "It doesn't make a lot of sense, where the car was found. There was no sign of foul play it didn't look like there was any kind of struggle or anything like that."

Police launched a massive air and ground search. They found nothing.

Family members have posted dozens of fliers, still nothing.

Jack says, "It just, you know really gives you mixed feelings."

Now they're hoping with hundreds of hunters hitting the woods someone will find something.

Family members say Joseph has a son that turned 16 yesterday and he was planning a party for him which has them even more worried about his disappearance.

If you have any information about where Coloso may be you are asked to contact the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office.

So sorry to hear about this. I live right by the area and I have followed this closely from the beginning. It's too bad the dogs could not pick up a scent beyond the road, especially since he was so close by. I'm glad that there is some closure to this because I can't imagine never knowing for sure what happened to someone that you care so much for. My prayers go out to the Coloso family.
