Band from TV Concert Cancelled
The 8:00 p.m. Saturday, November 21, 2009 performance by the Band from TV has been cancelled. INSDIE: Statement from the Epilepsy Foundation, which was to benefit from the concert.

Statement from Arthur Taggert, Executive Director of the Epilepsy Foundation Southern Wisconsin:
The Epilepsy Foundation Southern Wisconsin regrets that their Band From TV concert event had to be cancelled on short notice. Due to unexpectedly soft ticket sales the Epilepsy Foundation was unable to guarantee all of its financial obligations for the event. The band stood by as long as they possibly could and made every effort to put on this show. Ticket holders will be contacted and will receive full refunds.
The Epilepsy Foundation board and staff apologize for any inconvenience and sincerely thank our sponsors for their continued support.
The Epilepsy Foundation Southern Wisconsin provides supportive services to families with epilepsy throughout 25 counties. The Foundation provides seizure recognition and first aid training for schools, first responders, human service personnel and employers.

We were just informed the 8:00 p.m. Saturday, November 21, 2009, performance by the Band from TV has been cancelled.
Those tickets purchased with credit cards via Ticketmaster’s website, Ticketmaster’s Charge-by-Phone or at the Coliseum Box Office will be automatically refunded, no action is required by the ticket holder.
Credit card purchases made at Ticketmaster outlets and all cash ticket purchases will be refunded at the point of purchase with the presentation of your performance ticket. These refunds will be available beginning Monday, November 23, 2009.

We were just informed that the show has been cancelled. The band wanted to perform, but the show was called off on the other end. THANK YOU to fans who bought tickets.
Ticketmaster has informed us that they have put a halt on the further sale of any tickets for this date, and that the event is being pulled from the site.
All fans will receive a full refund on tickets they purchased.

well, hopefully all those wonderful people (and that is said with no sarcasm, I think you all were wonderful for buying tickets!) who bought tickets will perhaps consider still donating the money from the ticket refund directly to the epilepsy foundation? I know I will be doing just that. Thanks NBC15 for sponsoring the event! it is just a shame that there were costs of any kind to put on a benefit concert... since the foundation couldn't meet their financial obligations? would have been nice to know exactly what obligations those were... so perhaps consumer boycotts can be planned? was it the cost of the venue? the cost of the union employees for lights, sound? transportation costs? who needed so much money that even one ticket did not benefit the foundation, when part of every ticket should have benefitted them! whoever was so costly to them, shame on you!
Sarah, I feel bad for you; I know you were so hyped about this event. I really feel sorry for the foundation as well because that was what it was all about to raise money for them.....
Sorry, it sounded like it was for a good cause, but tickets sales for benefits and concerts have been pre-dominantly soft throughout this nation, which is another fair signal that the economy is NOT on a path to recovery!
