Fatal Crash in Prairie du Sac
A truck drove off the road and overturned a number of times, ejecting the driver. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Release from Sauk County Sheriff's Department:
On Saturday, November 21 at 1:13 a.m., the Sauk County Sheriff's Department responded to a one vehicle accident on STH 60 at CTH B in the township of Prairie du Sac.
A 2002 GMC pick up truck operated by Scott Thompson, age 31 of Baraboo was traveling south on STH 60 approaching CTH B when the vehicle drove off the road onto the shoulder at which time Thompson over-corrected his vehicle in an attempt to reenter the roadway causing his vehicle to overturn several times.
Thompson was ejected from the vehicle and suffered traumatic head injuries. Thompson was pronounced dead at the scene. Thompson was not wearing a seatbelt and it is unknown at this time if alcohol was a factor in the accident.

Thank you for the kind words from most of you. And, for those of you, like jjb, please keep your opinion to yourself when you don't know anything of the situation. Alcohol was NOT a contributing factor! The nightmare has been bad enough to live through and the loss is bigger than you'll ever know. Why would you write such a thing? Scott simply fell alseep because he was tired from working so hard all week. His passing will leave an unbelievable void in the lives of all who knew him. I will say though, regardless of how you feel about seatbelts, he would most likely be alive today if he had put his on. But, his failure to do that is something we have to live with.
So many judgeMENTAL, narrow-minded individuals! Did the article say alcohol was involved? NO! Maybe a deer was, or Scott was tired and his truck doesn't corner well. Who cares! On our roads, it could happen to anyone. Scott was a nice guy, who I'm sure is missed by many good friends and I'm sad that he died.
Sorry for the loss of your friend. My heart goes out to all his friends and family. God's peace be with you all.
