This Thanksgiving, Cathie Wallen is thankful for one Watertown business's generosity. All because her Dodge Intrepid needs repair.

" The check engine light's been on since this summer and that's about when the squealing under the hood and... the steering thing and everything started going," says Wallen.

"It needs some suspension work with the tie rods and there's an engine light on and it'll need an intake gasket and a tune up and a couple other minor things," says John Mason, owner of Northside Auto in Watertown, after inspecting the vehicle.

Thanks to Bumper to Bumper, Northside Auto and her sister, Cathie is getting all of her repairs done for free.

Several weeks ago Cathie's sister Dianna saw an article in the local newspaper asking people to nominate someone who could use a free car repair...but there was a catch.

"I got to the last part of the article and it said they're looking not only for somebody who needs to have this done but who has given back to the community," says Dianna Stai, Cathie's sister. "With her Relay for Life work and Big Brother Big Sister work and everything I thought, well, all I can do is nominate her and if she gets it, she gets it."

And she got it! About 12 to 13-hundred dollars worth of repairs, including all parts and labor will be taken care of at no cost to Cathie.

Cathie is grateful that she will be able to get her car back on the road and get back to helping others...although she isn't used to the extra attention.

"Well, it feels good but it's also kind of embarrassing," says Cathie.
