Following Communities Have Declared Snow Emergencies:
-- City of Beloit
Will take effect 5:00 a.m. Tuesday and will remain in effect until 5:00 a.m. Wednesday.
-- The City of Fort Atkinson
City of Fort Atkinson is declaring a SNOW EMERGENCY starting at 11pm tonight and lasting until 8am on Wednesday.
-- City of Janesville
The City of Janesville has declared a snow emergency for February 9 starting at 3PM. A snow emergency means that all parked vehicles must be removed from city streets and public parking lots until snow plowing operations are complete. To ensure that you do not receive a parking ticket, please move your vehicle prior to 3PM and keep your vehicle off city streets until they have been completely plowed.
-- Town of Pleasant Springs
The Town of Pleasant Springs has declared a snow emergency, All parking on town roads is prohibited until 6:00 pm on Thursday, Feb. 11, 2010.
-- City of Sun Prairie
The City of Sun Prairie is declaring a Snow Emergency effective at 12:01 a.m. Tuesday, February 9, 2010 and ending at 7 a.m. on Wednesday, February 10. A Snow Emergency means that there is no parking on any City street when the snow amount reaches 3 inches in depth or greater. The Snow Emergency remains in effect until the street has been completely plowed from curb to curb. If the storm produces another 3 inches of snow after the initial plowing, another Snow Emergency becomes effective until the streets are cleared. Cars parked on the street in violation of this ordinance can be ticketed and towed.
-- City of Watertown
The Watertown Police Department has declared a SNOW EMERGENCY that will go into effect at 11:00 p.m. tonight, February 9th. The Snow Emergency will run for 48 hours through 11:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 11th.

Press Release from the City of Madison:
The City of Madison has declared a snow emergency. That means that alternate side parking restrictions will be in effect throughout the entire City of Madison including the downtown/isthmus snow emergency zone.
Madison residents are asked to remove all vehicles from the street if possible. Residents who must park on the street this evening should park on the EVEN house numbered side of the street. Vehicles parked on the street Wednesday evening February 10th should be parked on the ODD house numbered side of the street. Violations of the alternate side parking rules are punishable by a fine of $60 throughout the entire City of Madison. Violators could also be towed.
The Snow Emergency will remain in effect until at least 7 a.m. on Thursday February 11th.
Parking is available in the cashiered sections of city-owned ramps in the downtown area. During a declared Snow Emergency you can park for no charge at the City ramps from 9 p.m. until 7 a.m. If you enter before 9 p.m. or leave after 7 a.m. you are liable for any parking charges before 9 p.m. and from 7 a.m. until the time you leave.
When parking in the ramps overnight, do not park on the top level so this area can be plowed. Be aware that vehicles stored in city ramps longer than 48 hours are subject to being ticketed and towed. Meters in lots and ramps are enforced 24 hours per day, 7 days a week.
Parking is also available at the Brittingham Park Shelter parking lot off of W. Washington AV.

Downtown/Isthmus Streets Scheduled For Towing During Snow Emergency
Vehicles parked illegally on several streets in the Downtown/Isthmus area will be towed during the Snow Emergency. Those streets are;
- W. Wilson St.
- W. Doty St.
-W. Main St.
-W. Washington Ave.
-10-200 W. Gilman St.
- E. Mifflin St.
-W. Mifflin St.
- N. Hancock St.
-S. Hancock St.
-N. Franklin St.
-S. Franklin St.
-N. Blair St.
-Wisconsin Ave. (200,300 and 500)
-300 S. Henry St.
-300 S. Hamilton St.
-N. Bedford St.
-S. Bedford St.
-N. Henry St.
-N. Carroll St. (300,400 and 500)
-E. Dayton St.
Vehicles towed during the Snow Emergency will receive a $60 tickets plus a $50 towing charge.
To avoid towing residents should remove their vehicles form the street or park on the EVEN house numbered side of the street tonight and the ODD house numbered side of the street Wednesday evening.
