Only on 15: In the middle of this week's snow storm, a Green County woman and her family had to rely on a stranger to make it to the hospital.
The trip from Jennifer Scace's house to the hospital in Monroe takes less than 10-minutes.
But, with the snow piling up and driving conditions getting worse, that trip looked like it would take an eternity.
That is until Scace got a lift from a plow.
"Very, very painful and very bumpy."
It wasn't exactly how Jennifer Scace thought she'd get to the hospital in Monroe.
But, with few options and about a foot and half of snow on the ground, she had no choice but to grab a ride with a plow if she wanted to make it to the delivery room in time.
"My contractions were probably about four minutes apart at that time."
Jennifer says at three that morning she told her husband and father-to-be, Eric, to go and plow the driveway so they could head to the hospital.
But, it didn't take long to figure out that they needed to leave right away.
Jennifer says, " My mom spent the night. So, about four o'clock in the morning I sent her out to tell him you'd probably better hurry up it's about time to go."
When they did all finally make it outside they piled into the car. But there was still a lot of snow in the driveway.
So they had to give it a little extra gas to make it out. Bad news is they landed in a ditch.
Eric says, " I was really mad. That was the first time I ever been stuck in my life and I had a four wheel drive."
Luckily, Eric saw a plow about two blocks down. So he ran in snow to ask for help.
At first, the plow tried getting them out of the ditch. But he also got stuck.
Once the plow was free Jennifer hopped in and off they went.
Jennifer says, " I told him, ' Your goal is to get me to the hospital before I have another contraction. But don't go too fast.'"
He did get her to the hospital in a timely manner and a few hours later little Brynlee Scace was born.
Eric would eventually make it the hospital for the birth of his baby girl.
We did trying getting a hold of the plow driver to talk to him.
But, our phones calls were not returned. The family is resting easy tonight and to that plow driver they say thank you.

Wow! That is what it is all about in an emergency people helping people. I am glad you made it to the hospital on time and everything went as good as it could have for your Family. My Father plows snow for Dane County Highway and there are many stories like this one that never make it to the news. I am glad this one did.
