On Sunday, October 28th, and Wednesday, October 31, “Operation Trick or Treat” was once again conducted throughout Walworth County. This is the fourth year that this compliance enforcement program has been completed.
Members of law enforcement, along with Probation and Parole Agents, went to the homes of 114 known registered sex offenders on active supervision through the Department of Corrections who are living in Walworth County, Wisconsin.
Six subjects on active supervision were found to be in violation of supervision and were immediately arrested and confined in the Walworth County Jail. Two additional alleged violators now have warrants for their arrests, which will bring the total to eight violators.
The six men arrested are:
1.Richard L. Burge, age 25, City of Lake Geneva
2.Christopher McFadd, age 26, City of Lake Geneva
3.Brian Chapman, age 28, Town of Geneva
4.James Esposito, age 56, Town of Delavan
5.Christopher L Wegner, age 29, City Of Delavan
6.Zachary A Ruisch, age 28, Town of Troy
The Walworth County Sheriff’s Office SRT (Sex Offender Registry Team) and Probation and Parole Agents were assisted by police officers from the following jurisdictions during this operation: Whitewater Police Department, Elkhorn Police Department, Town of Bloomfield Police Department, City of Lake Geneva Police Department, and the Village of Darien Police Department.
