UNDATED (AP) -- Tiger Woods is admitting he's nervous about how he'll be received when he returns to golf next month at the Masters.
In an interview with ESPN, he says "It would be nice to hear a couple claps here and there."
Woods also has been interviewed by The Golf Channel, answering questions on camera for the first time since his early morning car crash last November and the sex scandal that cost him sponsors and fans.
Woods acknowledges living "a lie," saying he alone was responsible for the sex scandal that caused his downfall and that no one in his inner circle was aware of his misdeeds.
Woods tells The Golf Channel -- quote -- "It was all me. I'm the one who did it. I'm the one who acted the way I acted. No one knew what was going on when it was going on."
He says "I'm sure if more people would have known in my inner circle, they would have stopped it or tried to put a stop to it. But I kept it all to myself."

Tiger Woods tells ESPN he's a "little nervous" about the reception he'll get at the Masters when he returns to play golf next month.
Woods conducted two separate five-minute interviews with ESPN's Tom Rinaldi and The Golf Channel's Kelly Tilghman. Woods was interviewed near his home in Windermere, Fla., and his comments were set for broadcast Sunday night.
Woods plans to end more than four months of seclusion and play at Augusta National, one of the most controlled environments in golf. He will be competing for the first time since a sex scandal shattered his image.

PALM HARBOR, Fla. (AP) -- Tiger Woods will return to golf at the Masters next month.
In a statement Tuesday, Woods said he will play at Augusta National after a four-month hiatus because of a sex scandal.
The Masters begins on April 8.
Woods says that while he's returning to competition, he still has a lot of work to do in this personal life.
He last played Nov. 15 when he won the Australian Masters. Less than two weeks later, he crashed his car into a tree outside his Florida home, setting off revelations that he had been cheating on his wife.

PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. (AP) -- Tiger Woods has apologized for having affairs and says he is unsure when he will return to competitive golf.
Woods spoke for more than 13 minutes Friday from the clubhouse at the TPC Sawgrass, home of the PGA Tour. About 40 people were in the room, including his mother. His wife was not obviously present.
Woods said he is solely responsible for his actions and was in treatment for 45 days. He said he will return for more therapy. He also insists there were no instances of domestic abuse in his marriage.
The world's No. 1 golfer had not talked in public since his traffic accident Nov. 27 triggered shocking revelations about Woods' infidelity.
Friday's event was tightly controlled, with only a few journalists allowed to watch Woods live.
Woods was dressed in a suit with an open collar shirt. There were no visible marks on him.

PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. (AP) -- It's not a comeback yet and it won't last long, but the public is eager to hear what Tiger Woods has to say today.
After being out of sight for almost three months, golf's biggest star is to make his first public appearance since he crashed his SUV on Nov. 27, setting off a shocking and sordid sex scandal.
Woods will speak to a small group of "friends, colleagues and close associates" at Florida's TPC Sawgrass, home of the PGA Tour. Just one video camera will broadcast the event, there will be no questions and when he's done, he's gone.
A letter from the PGA Tour commissioner obtained by The Associated Press says Woods will return to therapy after he speaks out.
Some golf pros think the appearance detracts from this week's Match Play Championship, sponsored by Accenture, the first company to drop Woods as a pitchman.

To anonymous...why on earth would Woods owe any mistress an apology. I believe Woods and the mistress should all be helping heal the hurt they have heaped on his family.
I find it amusing that people are so "up in arms" over this. Look, it's really NONE of ANYONE'S business. How would you like to be in his place? Would you want to have your laundry all over our local T.V. channels? Get over yourselves, please. And another thing that is funny. Why is it that people continue to say "what a role model'? If you have a child and you let him/her look up to any athlete as a role model, you are just as much of a goof. Role models should be a person such as YOU or your parents, not some rich athlete. Give the guy a break already
Hey, all you judgemental hypocrits......."Let ye who is without sin cast the first stone"......Whether you are religious or not, it ceratinly pertains...now doesn't it? I can't wait to hear all the negative remarks that will come out IF Elin decides to stay with him. THEN the comments will turn to HER and SHE will be labeled the "idiot", "disgrace to female race", etc. With people who judge others, it's ALWAYS easy to tell the other person what they should/shouldn't do....... that is until it affects YOU personally. Boy!......THEN it's a different story and you would all be crying, "Leave us alone. It is our personal business........" Sound familiar????
