"Watch him flinch," laughed Rick McCulloch as a few of his friends watched the video which is quickly becoming popular in Janesville.

"That is way too funny," he said.

Eight o'clock, Thursday night. A masked man enters a liquor store brandishing a knife. But, the clerk, McCulloch, was ready for him.

"It's always leaning in the corner," said McCulloch. "And when I saw him coming in in the mask I picked it up and had it down here by my side."

It, is a baseball bat. And as you can see in the video McCulloch threatens the would-be robber, who becomes disheartened and walks away.

"When he said he was here to rob me. I flung the bat up and said, 'I don't think so.' And we bantered back and forth. He said, 'you want to do this?' I said, 'heck yeah, come on. Let's do this.'"

McCulloch said he was not nervous, he had been in situations like that before.

The manager of The Liquor Cabinet tells her employees that their lives are more important than money. But McCulloch refuses to be a victim.

"I'm guessing that is why crime is getting so widespread. People just give in and become victims. It's just a little knife. It's only four inches. Stand up for yourselves. Fight back."

Janesville police recovered the suspects vehicle in Beloit. But, the suspect himself has yet to be found.
