From the Dodge County Sheriff's Office:

38-year-old Michael Bonney was injured when he crashed the pick up truck he was operating after losing control while he was driving north on Cth E, just north of the Village of Hustisford. This happened at 3:53 p.m. on Saturday, February 20, 2010.

The pickup truck spun across the roadway, through the southbound lane, and struck several trees and a fence. The pick up truck struck and severly damaged a residence, which was not occupied at the time.

Bonney was extricated from the truck, transported to Watertown Hospital and later transferred to UW Hospital in Madison. Speed and alcohol are believed to be factors in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation by the Dodge County Sheriff's Department Crash Investigation Team.

To: Anon123. Just checked facts for 2008 (can't find any 2009 data), and there were 6,000 deaths from distracted driving (cell phone use/texting) compared to almost 12,000 drunk driving deaths. I'm not saying it makes it right, people should pay attenting while driving and remember it's a privilege to drive - not your God given right. I'm not sure why you are so passionate about not using cell phones, but hopefully you advocate in a better way than these posts and make sure you get your data/numbers in order.

Steve Robbie and Anonymous, its so nice to see how mad you are about a drunk driver losing control of his truck and causing damage. On your next drive, Im sure you will pick up your cell phones and call someone to talk about it and other things that can wait for a more appropriate time. Hopefully you wont land in someones house yourselves. Oh wait, Im sorry, no one cares that cells phones cause more deaths then drunk drivers.

No, not alcohol related, not in Wisconsin (sarcasm). Different day, same stupidity in the news.
