An accused drunk driver who allegedly drove home with a body lodged in his windshield will remain jailed until an evidentiary hearing next month in Brown County.
Steven Warrichaiet completed his initial appearance in intake court Tuesday. He's being held on $100,000 cash bail.
Prosecutors say they expect to call 10 or 11 witnesses to show probable cause at Warrichaiet's preliminary hearing August 3rd.
Warrichaiet is accused of killing 50-year-old Tyrone Ware and injuring 41-year-old Joann Carroll-Hildahl as they walked in Green Bay July eighth. Ware became stuck in Warrichaiet's windshield when he was hit.
Authorities say Warrichaiet drove home, called his sister, then went to sleep for hours before calling police.
The woman suffered broken legs, a fractured arm and ribs.
