Victim:
M/B, 21 yrs old, Madison resident

Details:
Washington picked up the victim at a UW Residence Hall and drove towards Wingra Dr. During the car ride, an argument ensued over a cell phone. At one point, the victim jumped out of the vehicle and began walking on the bike path in the 900 block of Wingra Dr. A witness heard the driver of the vehicle rev the engine, and then saw the vehicle drive over the curb, hit the victim and drive into Wingra Creek.

Both the driver and the victim sustained minor injuries. Each of them were transported to local hospitals where they were treated and released.

The investigation is ongoing.
