Four teenagers in Janesville are now behind bars after a rash of burglaries spanning several months.
Police believe these men have been involved in as many as 20 burglaries.
These are the four that were just arrested: Zachary Trezek, Adam Hollis, Dylan Lambert and Gregory Lehr. They are all from Janesville and were initially arrested for one count of burglary and theft.
The crime spree started late last year.
They mostly targeted storage units and stole tools, luggage, vehicle wheels, automotive racing parts, motorcycles, snowmobiles, golf clubs, a go-cart.
On Tuesday, police executed a search warrant for a house on Center Avenue in Janesville.
Many of the items were recovered and returned to their owners. But, police say it's not the big items that victims are most thankful to get back.
"Normally, it's something little," said Sgt. Craig Strouse with the Rock County Sheriff's Department. "For example a ring. A ring recovered that may only be worth 10 dollars. And it doesn't mean anything to you or I, means everything to that person to get it back. That is what they are truly grateful for."
Sgt. Strouse said these suspects committed almost two dozen burglaries. In just one of them they stole upwards of $40,000 worth of property.
The investigation is continuing and police believe more charges are coming. They also think more arrests will be made in the coming days and weeks.
The four already arrested will make their initial appearance in court on Monday, April 12.

Latest Comments
Cont. from previous comment. This is a very big mistake that went on for a long time. Not just one storage locker or one crazy weekend. Maybe people should remember that. I hope that they learn a lesson from this, but so far they are behaving as they always have. No regard for anyone but themselves.
To the people on here who say they know these boys really well & they just made a mistake...it's obvious you do NOT know these boys. I live in the same neighborhood as one of them & he has been rude & disrespectful since he became a teenager. These boys drive very fast, make a lot of noise & have started fights in our neighborhood. They are the only thing that is wrong in our neighborhood. As far as saying they were doing something to get noticed, that is very sad. They didn't think they would get caught & the only reason that they would show any remorse is because they got caught. Not because they feel bad about stealing from people. As for Just Me, a lot of people keep expensive & very personal things in storage units & have every right to do so & expect those things to stay there. Just because these boys don't have anything else MAJOR on their records does not make this okay. As a child everyone makes mistakes I agree.
I hope they all fry. They stole from my children! If you agree with them then I say you are just as guilty
