Man Arrested For 5th Offense OWI
Dane County Deputies arrest 62-year-old man for his 5th OWI.

Madison, WI. March 15, 2010 – On Saturday, March 13th, a Dane County Sheriff’s Deputy arrested John P. Sabin, age 62 of Madison, for Operating While Intoxicated – 5th Offense.

At approximately 3:20 pm, while at the intersection of Northport Drive and Sherman Avenue in the City of Madison, the deputy observed Sabin in his 1999 Ford Escort with a brake light out. The deputy stopped Sabin for the equipment violation, and while speaking with him noticed a strong odor of intoxicants from Sabin.

Sabin admitted to consuming intoxicants and after completing field sobriety tests, he was arrested and booked into the Dane County Jail on the felony charge.

Dane County Sheriff’s Deputies cited an additional six drivers for OWI on Friday and Saturday.

While I don't condone ANYONE driving drunk ANYWHERE do you really expect a drunk driver to not drive near the bar or near their home?

I used to live on that side of town. It boggles my mind that people drive around drunk in that area, especially when there are little kids all over the place!
