B- There are many ways to tell if a bill is counterfeit. They feel different then normal bills. They look a little bit different. If you have the pens to strike across a large bill, it will stay black instead of turn a tan color. Its very easy to tell a counterfeit bill from a normal one if you have employees who pay attention.

Considering you're already on the web, B, why not try Googling info on spotting counterfeit bills? I'd bet the Bureau of Engraving and Printing website has all you need to know.

I work at a convenience store and we have had 5, 10 and 20 dollar bills that were conterfit recently. We also recieved a call from the Dane county sheriff describing how to tell they are counterfit. The bill felt different than others, one felt kind of plastic like, and the others were lighter in weight. But with all of the small bills that are being counterfit it is hard to mark them all or notice when given to you in a bundle of money. I know some of the larger bill are being printed on bleached out $5s. So if you mark them the mark stays yellow, but the strip inside the bill says five, not fifty. Them seem to be all over.
