More Lottery Luck Along Miracle Mile in Wisconsin

MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Score another winner for Fond du Lac's Miracle Mile.

The same grocery store that sold a $209 million Powerball ticket in 2006 and a million-dollar winner in 2008 has done it again.

Ma & Pa's Grocery Express sold a Powerball ticket Wednesday worth $1 million.

Wisconsin lottery officials say it was purchased by Ron Horton of Fond du Lac. His ticket was worth $200,000 but Horton bought a prize-multiplier feature that made it worth $1 million

Horton says the win left him feeling numb. He'll take part in a lottery news conference at the store Friday morning.

Ma & Pa's sits on the so-called Miracle Mile, a stretch in downtown Fond du Lac that has been unusually lucky for lottery players. Several stores there sold multimillion-dollar tickets in the 1990s.
