We have a status update now on that piece of metal a father says he found in his young daughter's baby food.
Joseph Stoflet says he was just looking at the nutritional ingredients when he found a piece of metal in the bottom of a jar of Gerber Graduates diced carrots.
He contacted Gerber and the FDA about the metal, and said Gerber has contacted them, but they will give the jar to an FDA representative.
Thursday, Gerber representatives say they have not had the opportunity to look at the product, but say they believe this is an isolated incident.
In a written response Gerber says, "We treat the inquiry seriously and investigate product concerns thoroughly."
