Man Tries to Kidnap Woman
Fitchburg Police are looking for a suspect after he tried to get a woman into his car.

Release from Fitchburg Police Department:

On June 4, 2010, Fitchburg Police Officers responded to the area of Leopold Way and Longford Terrace for a report of a man with a gun. Upon speaking to the adult victim, it was learned that the suspect pointed a firearm at her and demanded she get into his vehicle. The victim refused and the suspect fled northbound in his vehicle.

The vehicle is described as dark colored, boxy SUV, similar to a Ford Bronco.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, with a medium build between 5'08" and 6' tall. he had sort brown hair and appeared to be in his mid 20's to early 30's. He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and blue jeans.

What moron would think he would shoot if you don't get in the car. He's most likely a prevert not a killer. The last thing you should do is get in the car. If you do that you are dead for sure.

Anonymous, REALLY, you believe the press release provides all the details of this incident. Maybe there are details the police do not release that only the victim, the prepetrator and witnesses would know. It is very obvious you do not understand how law enforcement works. Sending out a release with minor details alerts people who might have witnessed the incident know the police are looking for information. When potential witnesses contact the police, the officers can determine if the witness is reliable because they know facts about the incident that were not released in the press. Any woman who has taken personal safety courses knows to refuse and resist. How this particular woman resisted is probably a detail the police didn't include in the press release for the reasons stated before.

I didn't read anything about resisting...I read that she refused to get in the car and he drove off. I agree that she shouldn't have gotten in the car!! But he's serious enough to have a gun, a little refusal doesn't seem like it should scare him that much.
