JEFFERSON, Wis. (AP) -- A man accused of drunken driving in a crash that killed his twin brother last September faces 11 months in Jefferson County Jail, with work-release privileges.

Thirty-seven-year-old Marc Garlock of Fort Atkinson was sentenced this week on his fourth conviction for drunken driving.

A jury found him guilty last week on the drunken driving charges but acquitted him of the vehicular homicide charges that he faced.

His brother, Matthew, died in the crash.

The Jefferson County Sheriff's Department is investigating a fatal crash in the town of Sullivan.

It happened around 11:30 last night on County Highway F.

Authorities say 36-year-old Marc Garlock failed to stop at a stop sign, skidded across the intersection and went into a ditch.

His passenger, 36-year-old Matthew Garlock, was pronounced dead at the scene.

I remember these boys from high school. My first impression of them seems to have been accurate. It was our junior year and we were all at a basketball game. They had both been at a party and one of them vomited in the bleachers all over everyone's coats below. It seems to me like they needed help with their alcohol problems a long time ago.

I just would like to get the last word in..I'm Marc and Matt's only sibling...This was a life changing event for our entire family and im sorry if everyone does not see it the way our family sees it but truly none of your buisness...The justice system did there job, as for the 4thoffense not in the trial, that is something that is not allowed in. The juriers need to follow the blood alchol level to know what affense and they did not catch that...if it was acidently brought in it would be an unfare trial...My brothers were best friends and Matt is truly missed but all of us and is in our hearts!!! Matt chose that night to get in the car and was driving before and pulled over when marc was determined to get his brother home..poeple don't understand the risks until some life changing event happens...Well it happened to my family!!! We truly all miss Matt and love Marc!!!

Both men were drunk and Marc took over the wheel thinking that he was the more able driver. I spoke to some of the jurors who sat on this trial and they had a very hard time deciding the verdict. I feel that Marc and Matt used the poorest judgement and not the jurors or the court. My heart goes out to the family of these young men.
