Location: 81 STH 35, Jameston Township
Time: 4/6/2012 1:55p.m.
Allen Kieler was at his residence at 81 STH 35 in Jamestown Township. Kieler was showing visiting family members an older model .22 caliber handgun when the gun discharged a round. The round went through Kieler's hand, hit him in the shoulder area nd then went into the ceiling. Kieler was transported to Finley Hospital in Dubuque by Hazel Green EMS. Kieler is in stable condition. No one else was injured in the incident and no charges are being filed. Alcohol and foul play have been ruled out.
