Released By Beloit Police:

On 31 March 2013 between the hours of 0200-0430, BPD Officers responded to multiple commercial burglaries on the City's upper west side. In these burglaries, two males (believed to be white males/but not confirmed) gained entry by throwing large stones through glass doors and/or windows. The suspects then made entry and spent less than two minutes in each business. Undisclosed merchandise and property were removed from victim businesses. Evidence Technicians assisted in processing the scenes.

Investigation revealed that officers missed contact with the subjects by a very small margin of time. Our department needs the help of the community to stop this rash of "smash and grab" property crimes occurring. Please be vigilant, report suspicious activity immediately upon observation, and forward any information in regards to criminal activity to Beloit Police Officers and Investigators.

A reminder that cash rewards are paid out through the use of Beloit Area Crime Stoppers and tipsters remain anonymous. Crime Stoppers can be contacted by phone, SMS/Text Message, or via the internet by e-mail or facebook
