UPDATED: Saturday, July 28, 2012 --- 3:16p.m.

The identities of the two people found dead in a suspected murder/suicide have been released.

Found dead in the home in the 1100 block of Maple Street was George R. Snake (24) of Reedsburg and Cheyenne T. Fiddler (23) of Red Wing, MN. It is believed that Snake shot and killed Fiddler after an argument early Friday morning and then turned the gun on himself.

Snake and Fiddler were dating and she recently moved into the residence from Red Wing, MN.

It is believed that alcohol was a factor; however, toxicology results will not be available for several weeks.

The investigation is ongoing.

Release from Reedsburg Police Department:

Two people were found dead from what is believed to be gunshot wounds Friday evening in an apparent murder/suicide.

At 7:00pm on Friday Reedsburg Police were dispatched to the 1100 block of Maple Street after a friend entered the home and found two people dead.

The two individuals, whose identities are being withheld until notification of family, were pronounced dead by the Sauk County Coroner.

Autopsies for both subjects are scheduled for Saturday morning.

Police are not seeking any further individuals involved in this incident as the preliminary investigation indicates a murder/suicide; however, the investigation is still on-going.
