From the Dane County Medical Examiner's Office:

The Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office is releasing the name female that was discovered deceased in the Town of Madison on Saturday 08-04-12. The female was discovered near railroad tracks not far from County Rose Court. The female is identified as:

A forensic autopsy was completed on Sunday 08-05-12. Preliminary autopsy findings disclose that this death is not a homicide. The Dane County Medical Examiner’s final ruling on the Manner of Death is pending additional studies.

This case remains under investigation by the Town of Madison Police, assisted by the Wisconsin Division of Criminal Investigation, the Wisconsin Crime Lab, and the Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office.

UPDATED Sunday, August 5, 2012 --- 3:35 p.m.

Release from Town of Madison Police Department:

The Town of Madison Police Department is continuing our investigation on this suspicious death case.

We have been working closely with the Dane County Medical Examiner.

The name of the deceased will be released by the Medical Examiner after all family notifications are made.

The preliminary investigation is indicating that this is not a homicide and the community is not at risk.

The department is continuing our investigation until a final determination is made.

Release from Town of Madison Police Department:

The Town of Madison Police Department was notified of a female body that was found along railroad tracks near the railroad bridge over Ski Lane in the Town of Madison.

Responding officers confirmed the female was obviously deceased and immediately secured the scene.

This evening the department is processing the scene. We have requested assistance from the WI State Crime Lab, WI Division of Criminal Investigation and the Dane County Coroner's office.

Town of Madison Police tell NBC 15 Photojournalist Dana:

Police confirm they have found the body of a white female near railroad tracks in the Town of Madison.

Around 5:30 Saturday night they responded to the 2600 block of Country Rose Ct. The body was found behind an apartment complex.

Right now police can't say how the woman died.
