Cessna Crash Lands at Dane County Regional Airport
(Madison, WI) At approximately 12:40pm on December 21, 2010 a Cessna 340 left the pavement of Runway 1-8 upon landing at the Dane County Regional Airport. The plane is owned by Wisconsin Aviation.
Airport Rescue and Firefighters as well as Madison Fire and Rescue were called to the scene as a precaution, but there was no transport and the pilot was not injured. There were no other occupants of the aircraft.
Crews are moving as quickly as possible to remove the aircraft to keep disruptions to the airport at a minimum. The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the incident.

A Dane Co. Regional Airport Spokesperson tells us a small plane skidded off a runway while trying to land today.
Dane Co. dispatchers say they got a report of a possible crash around 12:47 p.m.
The airport spokesperson says the plane is a Cessna 340 that's owned by Wisconsin Aviation. Right now there's no word on any injuries or how many people were on board.
