Arrested: Brian M. Bromberek, age 29, Milwaukee
Mr. Bromberek was arrested for Theft and Possession of Schedule I & II Narcotics.
Victim: Female, age 23, Madison
Details: An alert bar patron snapped a couple of photos of a theft suspect on his cell phone early Sunday morning after a woman's $500 iPhone and credit card were taken from a State Street Brats bench.
The victim was dancing, and had left her coat and purse unattended. The suspect left the bar, with the witness not far behind. The citizen flagged down a police officer and showed an officer the photos.
About the same time, he spotted the suspect not far from where he had contacted the officer. The officer arrested the suspect on tentative charges listed above. The victim's cell phone and credit card were recovered.
