A Fort Atkinson farmer is picking up the pieces after a fire ripped through his barn, killing 25 of his cows.
“It's a second home because you spend a lot of days there from early in the morning till late at night,”said farmer, Bill Ehrke.
Ehrke came home to a burning barn Saturday afternoon after being gone on vacation. The cause of the fire is still undetermined but Ehrke says old wiring might be to blame.
The damages are expected to cost up to $250,000.
