Press Release from the Madison Police Department:

Madison, WI. December 20, 2011 – At approximately 10:30 am, Dane County Sheriff’s deputies along with Fire Departments from Middleton, Waunakee, Cross Plains, Sauk Prairie, Dane, and Black Earth all responded to 7527 Kickaboo Road in the town of Springfield.

A barn and a machine shed on the property appear to be a total loss. The barn was being used to store hay and no livestock were in either structure. The cause of the fire is under investigation, and no injuries have been reported.

Fire crews are at the scene of a barn fire in Dane County.

The initial report came in just after 10:30 this morning for a barn on Kickaboo Road in the Town of Springfield.

Officials on scene say there are no reports of injuries to people or animals.
